Opulence and extravaganza has been seen quite a lot this past seasons on the runways. Is it a consequence of the global economical crisis, a way to fight austerity ? What is sure is that the designers want to make us dream and travel trough time, weather it's with Balmain's fully embroidered, beaded floral armor like jackets and mini dresses or Dolce Gabbana's Byzantine splendor inspired collection.
Personally I love it, especially in these not so opulent times, a bit of glam and gold is always welcome ! Also these collections remind me of fairytales.
