Summer is almost over, but what a summer it has been ! Especially in the fashion world, the designers have surprised us with some amazing shows, but not ordinary shows, the Haute Couture shows, the quintessence of fashion.
I truly believe that the Haute Couture and the traditional "savoir-faire " is back. Lately the Couture shows have been absolute gems and have shown the new glory of a past fashion golden age.
Reaching new heights of perfection with this July's winter couture shows, Giambattista Valli and Dolce and Gabbana, are the two maestros of the season with their opulent gowns and mix of fabrics.
Already in 2010 and 2011 Givenchy's Gothic Couture looks started the rebirth of an out of breath and diminished Haute Couture.
Now the Couture shows are stronger and almost as trendsetting as the ready to wear shows.
Who does not dream to stroll down the beautiful streets of Capri with this yellow and blue baroque azulejos inspired gown and with it's coral embellished matching crown of course ?! I do for sure.
