HC like .... Haute Couture

Summer is almost over, but what a summer it has been ! Especially in the fashion world, the designers have surprised us with some amazing shows, but not ordinary shows, the Haute Couture shows, the quintessence of fashion.  

I truly believe that the Haute Couture and the traditional "savoir-faire " is back. Lately the Couture shows have been absolute gems and have shown the new glory of a past fashion golden age. 

Reaching new heights of perfection with this July's winter couture shows, Giambattista Valli and Dolce and Gabbana, are the two maestros of the season with their opulent gowns and mix of fabrics. 

Already in 2010 and 2011 Givenchy's Gothic Couture looks started the rebirth of an out of breath and diminished Haute Couture. 

Now the Couture shows are stronger and almost as trendsetting as the ready to wear shows. 

Who does not dream to stroll down the beautiful streets of Capri with this yellow and blue baroque azulejos inspired gown and with it's coral embellished matching crown of course ?! I do for sure.

SH like .... Summer Holidays

So it's that amazing time of the year again... as a special treat and a sorry gift for quite a long absence .... Here are a couple of dreamy pictures that we all long for : the summer holidays! Wether it's Greece, Spain, South of France, the Caribbean, Australia or even the Hamptons, we all dream about this special sunny destination that will make our summer unique. And what is the most exciting part of the summer holidays? the cocktails on the beach? the late nights out? the summer crushes .... no ! the most exciting is the wardrobe! The various swimsuits ( wether you're a bikini, trikini or one piece kind of gal) , the flower crowns, the hippy chic maxi dresses, the mirrored or maxi sunnies, the jewelry you only dare to wear on holiday,  the denim shorts ... the list is long. And everything just looks better on with a golden tan !
